Your Executive Summary should serve as a persuasive pitch that highlights the key aspects of your Business Plan. Use powerful language that holds your audience’s attention and promotes your message and the business behind it. Even though the Executive summary is written last, it will serve as an introduction to your entire Business Plan. This is your audience’s first look a your Plan. Your job is to convince them to keep reading!

Problem and Solution (Revisit your Pitch, and Mission/Vision Statement)
- Sell your message. Show how your message functions as a solution to the problem you are addressing.
Target Audience (Revisit Market Strategy)
- Who is your audience? Why do they care about your problem? Explain why they care about the problem you identified and would be interested in your message/business as a solution.
Financial Summary (Revisit Budget, and Business Type explanation)
- Show how you will manage your finances. Include ideas about start up costs, break even, and profit goals. Be sure to show what you plan to do with your profits.
Business Operations (Focus on the "Who". Touch on other sections if relevant)
- Show how you and your business partners are qualified and will reach the goals of your business.
